He did cheer me up immensely, I was laughing and having a good time by the end of the evening. But I better get to updates - Jared is having a great time with school. A little too good - I tell him. I hassle him about the progress on his thesis nearly every day. But I think he prefers his bowling league to writing papers. Go figure. :) His friend, Kellen, came back from his field work in Switzerland and they lovingly decorated his office beforehand.
I'm sure Kellen appreciated posters of Hannah Montana and Zac Affron (what a dream boat :)
Let's see, we still go fishing on a regular basis (last night, I almost caught a catfish so huge he broke my line before I could reel him in) and I'm getting back into school. It was a hard week, but I'm enjoying it more now. I think I'm finally starting to understand why people can stay in teaching for more than 2 years. Some of it is really fun and then other parts are really challenging. But I love a good challenge - so I appreciate that too, a lot of the time. It feels different teaching this year than it did last year. The stress is still there, but nothing is as hard.
Okay, enough. To end this thing, I'll throw in a picture of me wearing Michele's birthday present (my apron). She wasn't sure I'd like the pink - but actually I love it. Pink and purple used to be my favorite colors after all...

My Becca is growing up and cooking?! That apron is so cute on you. Jared did a great job on your birthday. Happy Belated Birthday!
Wow, you look so domestic!! Cute!
I hope you had a great birthday and enjoyed that cheesecake. I just found out there is a cheesecake factory close to our house...a dangerous discovery!! I might have to bring some for Thanksgiving!
We were talking about the cheese cake factory last night...I've never been there. Tragic isn't it? Anyway, we decided that we'll have to take me one day.
I feel you on the getting older thing. My 27th is just around the corner. 27...now that sounds old. I'm glad that you had a nice birthday. (Jared, good job with the presents!)
P.S. It made my morning to see the picture of you wearing the apron! Someone who's "willingly" wearing something that I've sewn! Soon Hannah will be too old for me to force my creations on her :-)
Beautiful girl, beautiful apron!
If you are feeling old sweetie we won't even discuss how your birthday makes me feel. The best is yet to come - I promise!
Love you lots. Mom
Oh Becky, you may feel older but you still look beautiful! So don't sweat it! I am envious of your new DS...Have you been using the brain age games?
We can't wait to see you!!
Happy Birthday Becky (much belated now, I wish my uncommunicative husband had told me)! Honestly, I am terribly jealous of you turning 26, that's all? 26 is a breeze! Try 28...nothing will make you feel more like a troll than 28. I was talking to this lady at a party Friday night and she was telling me that she wished she had had kids before she was 28, because your body gets significantly less elastic after 28.
